Home furnishings and accessories with a Texas flair fills a good market for Christi’s Rustic and Western Collection, the June Business of the Month for Princeton Chamber of Commerce.
Christi’s, owned by Christi Adams, opened in November 2013 at 1345 Hwy. 78 North.
“My family has been in the furniture business forever and I wanted to open my own business,” she said. “It was really a leap of faith.”
A 2,400 square foot showroom houses a selection of furniture and accessories, and Adams utilizes additional space to customize some selections by personally staining, painting and distressing items as ordered.
“We are in Texas. People love the rustic and western look,” the business owner said of her niche.
She pointed out that she orders through seven furniture vendors, which ensures a good variety and the latest style, while keeping a lid on prices.
“My prices are very competitive,” Adams said.
Along with furniture for all rooms of the house, Christi’s carries bedding, bathroom accessories, artwork, lamps, cowhide items, dinnerware and Illusion brand candles.
The business has been a chamber member since shortly after opening.
