Investigation into a report of a possible enticing a child case in Princeton last week turned out to be unfounded, the result of a mistaken assumption.
The assumption triggered a joint search by law enforcement officers from several jurisdictions attempting to locate a suspect, or suspects, believed to be involved in a number of recent incidents in which children were believed to be in danger.
The Princeton incident occurred about 10 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, in the 400 block of Bonnie View Drive when it was reported that a man drove up and called out to a 9-year-old boy who was playing outside. When confronted by an adult, the man drove away, Police Chief James Waters said.
