Although no numbers were cited, Princeton City Council heard the needs of the fire department to continue serving a rapidly growing community.
The council met Monday, June 27, in regular session at City Hall.
Other business included conducting a public hearing on a public use permit allowing operation of a daycare facility and hearing reports on the Safer Routes to School project and unfinished buildings.
“Our mission statement is to provide the city of Princeton and the surrounding community with a qualified team of trained professionals, whose primary focus is to protect life, property and the environment through public education, fire prevention and emergency scene management,” Fire Chief Tom Harvey said to begin his presentation.
