Princeton residents turned out Sunday evening, July 10, to show their support and respect for their police officers in the aftermath of an attack in Dallas last week in which five officers were killed and nine were wounded.
A candlelight service was held at 8 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park downtown and attended by 150 to 200 people.
“It was appreciated,” Asst. Police Chief Jerry Varner said. “It was a reminder of why we do our job.”
