Princeton Police Department will soon be augmented by several recent graduates of the department’s first Citizens Police Academy who have volunteered to help patrol the community as members of Citizens on Patrol.
The inaugural academy graduates completed eight weeks of training provided by Princeton officers, learning the basics of police work so that can be extra sets of eyes and ears on the streets. COPS volunteers will patrol town and report if the see any suspicious activity, to which licensed officers will then respond.
