Rickey Jones

Rickey Charles Jones was born August 18, 1957, in Denison, to the late Charles Jerry Jones and Sonja Guest Jones. He passed away at the age of 57, on July 12, 2015, in Tyler. He had been a resi- dent of Van for 18 years, formerly living in Sachse. He worked as a truck driver and dispatcher for Walmart in Terrell, and also served in the U.S. Air Force in earlier years.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie Jones of Van; six children, Brandy Hopkins and her boyfriend, Tyler of Ala.; Jennifer Wardlaw and her husband, Jed of McKinney; Kelly Turner and her husband, Seth of Richardson; Jacqueline Compean and her husband, José of Odessa; Brittany Rodriguez and her fiance, Juan of Allen; and Tamera Snow and her husband, Alan of Tyler; brother, Joe Jones and his wife, Liz of Bossier City; sister, Tamera Jones Davis and her husband, Danny of Farmersville; twelve grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

A visitation was held for Rickey Jones on Wednesday evening, July 15, 2015, at Hilliard Funeral Home from 6. – 8 p.m. A grave- side service was held at Tioga Cemetery on Thursday, at 11 a.m. under the direction of Hilliard Funeral Home.
