School board approves hiring more teachers

Enrollment in the Princeton ISD reached 11,581 students on Jan. 21, Superintendent Donald McIntyre reported, 1,434 more than in January of last year.

McIntyre told the PISD Board of Trustees at a Wednesday, Jan. 21, meeting that the total was 300 more than projected with most of the new pupils at the elementary level. The meeting was rescheduled from Jan. 19 because of the Martin Luther King Jr. Day holiday.
