Four student-athletes at Princeton signed a National Letter of Intent on Feb. 4.
Senior offensive lineman Smith signed with Midwestern State University and will look to continue his success at the next level. The 6-foot-3, 335-pound senior was named to the All-District 6-6A second team as a senior.
Quarterback Marcus Flowers signed with Beloit College. After appearing in four games during his sophomore season, Flowers excelled as the Panthers’ full-time quarterback during his junior and senior seasons, all while Princeton moved up from Class 5A Division II to 6A two years ago. For his career, he threw for 6,497 yards in 24 games with 61 passing touchdowns, while adding 445 rushing yards and 10 rushing touchdowns.
Cornerback/free safety Marion Thomas signed with Ottawa University. He enjoyed a breakout senior season, finishing with 45 tackles and one pass defended.
Dual-sport standout Gabriella Trejo will play women’s soccer for Angelo State. The senior midfielder was named to the All-District 6-6A second team as a junior and to the All-District 13-5A first team as a sophomore.
Trejo was also a standout for the Princeton girls cross country team, finishing her high school career as a four-time regional qualifier and competing at the state meet during her freshman and sophomore seasons.
