Junior Sydney Smith has already left quite the impression during her first season competing for the Princeton track and field team, and she continued her recent success with another standout performance at Saturday’s Jesuit-Sheaner Relays.
Smith won first place in the long jump with a distance of 19 feet and added third place in the 100 hurdles after clocking a time of 14.2 seconds.
Senior Will Smith placed eighth in the 800-meter run with a 1:56.43 to pace the Princeton boys at Jesuit High School.
Princeton got an eighth-place finish from its 4×400, with a time of 3:24.38, while the Panther boys’ 4×100 was 21st in 42.95.
Junior Jeremy Oseh clocked a time of 16.25 in the 110 hurdles and freshman Arturo Velez had a time of 4:51.64 in the 1,600.
