Princeton city staff prepared reports on data center regulations and roadway repair priorities for discussion at a City Council work session scheduled for Tuesday, May 26. But the meeting was canceled the same day for lack of a quorum.
Although no action was scheduled, the reports outlined potential future policy decisions facing the city as it juggles rapid growth, aging infrastructure and increasing development interest.
One report, prepared by Development Services Director Shai Roos, examined whether Princeton should amend its zoning ordinance to regulate data centers, a land use that has attracted growing interest across North Texas because of expanding utility infrastructure and demand for digital storage and computing facilities.
