Motorcyclist killed in Thanksgiving Day accident

Emergency services personnel responded to a single motorcycle accident on Thanksgiving Day that resulted in a fatality.

Steven Reynolds, 68, was killed in the crash. According to DPS Public Information Officer Lonnie Haschel, what town Reynolds is from was not immediately available.

According to police reports, the accident occurred at 3:51 p.m. Nov. 24 on FM 1827 near CR 988.

Reynolds, who was not wearing a helmet according to Haschel, was traveling north on FM 1827 on his 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he left the roadway on a curve and lost control.

He died at the scene of the accident.

DPS, Collin County Sheriff’s Deputies, Princeton Police Department, Princeton Fire Department, American Medical Response and the Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the scene of the crash.

The road was shut down for about 2.5 hours, Haschel said.
