Princeton had seven wrestlers earn spots on the medal stand for placing in the top four at last Saturday’s College Station Cougar Classic, including three champions.

Erin Marquez improved to 28-4 on the season after going 4-0 with four pins to earn first place at 120 pounds.

Alexandria Ramos also stood atop the medal stand after going 4-0 with two pins and an 11-2 major decision to win the 125-pound title.

Isobella Cook went 3-0 to capture the 145-pound title. Cook won all three matches by pin, highlighted by a second-period fall against Lamar Fulshear’s Kaylee Wong in the finals.

Addy Smith went 2-1 to earn second place at 190 pounds, with both wins coming by pin, while Nalani Mornes finished second at 105 pounds.

On the boys’ side, Chris Winkle captured third place at 157 pounds, Nolan Culverhouse finished fourth at 150, and Breylon Kelleher placed fourth at 175.

Earlier in the week, Princeton faced Frisco Lone Star in a dual meet. The Lady Panthers edged the Lady Rangers 36-29 in the girls dual, while Lone Star defeated Princeton 47-30 in the boys dual.

Princeton will next compete in the District 6-6A Tournament, scheduled for Friday, Jan. 30, at Prosper Rock Hill High School.
