PSHS scores big at UIL invitational meet

The Princeton academic UIL team brought home the sweepstakes trophy from the Caddo Mills invitational tournament on Saturday, Feb. 28.

Bri Foster won first place in Ready Writing, Noah Young won second place in both Number Sense and Calculator, while the Number Sense team and Calculator team took first. Meraj Shaik medaled in Math and the Math team took third place.

Vaanya Sharma got fifth place in Science and the Science team was third place overall.

The UIL journalism team included several firsts with Emily Williams placing first in Copy Editing and Headline Writing, Sophia Gaytan in News Writing and Nancy Erua in Feature Writing.

Emily place second in News Writing and Editorial Writing and third in Feature Writing.

Sophia took second place in Copy Editing and Headline Writing, third in Editorial Writing and fourth in Feature Writing.

Nancy placed third in Headline Writing and fourth in News Writing and Editorial Writing.

Bella Cook placed second in Feature Writing, third in News Writing, fourth in Copy Editing and fifth in Editorial Writing.
