Not long after Ryan Gerfers announced his retirement from coaching, one of the first people that Dr. Chivonne Kiser reached out to gauge their interest about becoming the next head girls soccer at Princeton High School was Aaron Griffith.

Kiser had previously crossed paths with Griffith when she was the assistant director of athletics for Denton ISD.

Griffith had interviewed for the position of soccer coach at Denton Braswell but decided not to further pursue the opportunity as he felt that his skill set and experience aligned more with that of a head coach. But when Kiser stepped into the role of Princeton ISD Director of Athletics on March 10, Griffith said becoming the next head girls soccer coach was an opportunity that was too good to pass up.

“Dr. Kiser’s vision and mine align perfectly,” Griffith said. “I never felt as wanted as I did over there, which made the decision easy.”
