Flocks for the memory. Princeton is sending back a dozen Automated License Plate Readers (ALPRs) after the City Council voted not to install six Flock Safety and six Motorola Solutions Vigilant cameras.
Residents and councilmembers spoke at a Sept. 8 council meeting against what one man called “Orwellian technology.”
“I’m a tech guy. I’m in IT,” Mayor Eugene Escobar Jr. said. “I love tech, but … at the end of the day I have to listen to what the residents want.”
