The Princeton City Council will consider naming a street in honor of Police Chief James Waters, who served as alternate city manager since April 27.
Council voted unanimously at a Sept. 21 special meeting to promote David Hall to succeed Waters as alternate city manager.
Hall had been an assistant to Waters and brings municipal government experience from several North Texas cities. He previously served as city manager in Rowlett and Glenn Heights and earlier held positions with the cities of Fort Worth and Lancaster.
