Candidates can start filing Monday for election to Princeton City Council and Princeton Independent School District Board of Trustees.
The elections are slated for Nov. 3.
Filings remain open through Monday, Aug. 24, the last day to register to vote is Oct. 5, and early voting is set for Oct. 19-30.
Three positions on the PISD board must be filled this fall. Trustees are elected at-large and serve for three years.
Board members whose terms are expiring are Kyle Strickland, Brent Collins and Bob Lovelady, currently serving as board secretary.
Holdover trustees are Carol Bodewell, Tim Tidwell, Lisa Caldwell and Ricky Gillespie.
Trustees approved calling the election Monday.
Three places on the Princeton city council, as well as the mayor’s office, will be decided in November balloting.
Expiring are the 2-year terms of Mayor Ken Bowers and councilmen David Kleiber, Place 1, and Bill Glass, Place 2. In addition, voters must select a candidate to serve the remaining one-year of a term for Place 4, an office that is currently vacant.
Holdover city council members are John-Mark Caldwell, Place 3, and Steve Deffibaugh, Place 5.
