Princeton held its annual community Christmas tree lighting last week at Veterans Park downtown with a few new twists.
This year, for the first time, city employees cooked and served free hotdogs to show their appreciation to Princeton residents. Community Relations Director Stephanie Bowman reported that 1,000 hotdogs were served while churches chipped in to provide drinks and cookies.
“It was a great success,” Bowman said. “We can’t wait until next year.”
