Ordinary people, extraordinary love stories. Whether you’re 14 or 40, some couples have a knack for finding ever-lasting love. Last week, we asked our readers to let us know if they had a love story to share and they did. Here’s a few that might give you hope and put a smile on your face! We hope you have a very happy Valentine’s Day.
My husband and I met in a most peculiar way. I started praying for my husband at age 8. We moved from Princeton to Matehuala, Mexico to take care of my father’s parents. At age 14, I remember walking down a street and asking God “when will you bring the man I am supposed to marry into my life?” It was more than a prayer – it was a cry from my heart. It sounds funny that at that age I would be so worried about that, but it was very important for me. I wanted to meet him while we were young, so we could grow up together and so he could know how I became the woman he would marry one day.
I loved soccer. Every night my friends and I would play outside in front of a small store my parents owned. The streets went downhill and there were not many lights on it. One night I was playing soccer and the ball passed me by and went downhill. I chased after it and when I bent down to pick it up I felt something crash into my body.
