Princeton voters may be asked in November to allocate part of the city’s sales tax revenue to pay for police, fire and emergency services.
Police Chief James Waters says substantial long-term investments in police, fire and emergency medical services will be necessary as the city continues its rapid growth toward a potential population of more than 100,000 residents.
Waters prepared a study on public safety sustainability presented at the Tuesday, June 23, meeting of the Princeton City Council by Tiffany West, the police department’s administrative manager.
