Princeton residents are getting the chance to provide feedback this Saturday as a community-wide meeting is being held.

The city will host a Community Charrette on Saturday, Feb. 10 at 8:30 a.m. in the Smith Elementary Cafeteria.

“This will be an opportunity for our residents to participate in the development and shaping of our city,” Mayor John-Mark Caldwell said. “It will be informative as well as educational. Understanding the process and participating in the development of you city. We greatly appreciate all of those that are participating and having a voice in the future of Princeton. This is your opportunity to have your voice heard. This is your city, catch excitement.”

The Community Charrette is a public input event that will introduce the planning process and gather community input on a series of specific issues that will be addressed in the updated comprehensive plan. The updated plan will take a fresh look at current opportunities and challenges in the community, and establish a vision for where the community would like to be in 2050.

Public input is critical to establish the future vision for Princeton.

In addition to attending and participating in the Community Charrette, the city is asking the community to contribute their thoughts and ideas throughout the project in a variety of ways. Residents of all ages, businesses and organizations are encouraged to take part in community events, participate in online surveys and follow along with the project on websites and social media.

Reservations are requested so that an adequate number of seats and materials will be available for all participants.
