Letter to the Editor from Johnny Redwine and Phil Tally

Editor,

I’ve read in several places about the conflict of the “Muslim cemetery” and land near Farmersville. I must at least speak my mind. I have to disagree with many of the (unlike me) very well educated and trained, who have spoken of this Muslim property. (Although Black Jack Persian used a similar tactic against Radical Islamist, in, I believe, the Philippines successfully.) I do understand where the “for” people are coming from. I believe totally in freedom of religion and the Constitution. But many lawyers over the years have twisted the original meaning of the Constitution. I believe we need to go and reach every soul we can for Jesus Christ. I do question the argument some use to say that God wants the Muslims to spread thickly into this county. And I do not think we should feel we have “little confidence in God” if we are against this matter. The “schemes and labor of other religions” and cults have not defeated the Christians yet! But the radical Islamist, are another case. They are the main cult in the world, since the Nazis, to use violence openly, and proclaim you should not live if you don’t convert to their teachings.

I realize all Muslims are not and do not believe the radicals. I love the Muslims, as Christ does. But I believe these Muslims are scared to speak out against the radical Islamist. They are the ones that the radicals scheme and begin to mix with. The next thing you know, the radicals are the leaders in some of their local Mosques, converting so many from this area and from everywhere to their radical belief. Why do we want this to get a foothold in our area? We have more work in Collin County than we can, or are willing to do now. Most are not grounded enough in God’s word to try to convert “professional radicals” or Muslims to Jesus Christ, me included. And that’s my fault.

I thank God for the ones fighting for Christian rights like our forefathers meant, as they prayed and consulted God, while putting our Constitution together. When is the right time to fight back if not now? “Go set a watchman.” Isaiah 21:6 warned. I do not believe this is running anyone “out of town on a rail.”

Please do not let anyone tell you that if you don’t believe their way, you are not trusting God! I believe just opening our arms and welcoming a cult that hates Jews and Christians, is like handling snakes or drinking poison, just to show God I have faith. I do not believe in “putting God to a foolish test.” I believe we should all be watchmen. We, as a culture have already accepted too many sins as being OK, thanks to our Supreme Court.

I hate no one. I do my best to love anyone that will let me, any color, race, religion or creed. But love from God also brings wisdom to look ahead. And I look at Europe, England and even parts of America and see how they have changed, and suffered. We cannot just sit and say, “oh that won’t or can’t happen here.” I do love the Muslims, but not the radical Islamist, that hate all and would kill all that would not convert to their god. They are probably already here. Please pray for the peace of Farmersville, America and Jerusalem.
