Four juveniles were taken into custody last week in connection with vandalism incidents reported throughout Princeton.

Vandalism was reported to Princeton police at various locations Thursday, July 23 and Friday, July 24, Police Chief James Waters reported.

Between 11 p.m. July 23 and 2 a.m. July 24 police received reports from residents that someone had knocked on their front doors and fled. When the disturbances were checked, it was found that cars parked outside the houses had been vandalized.

Waters said that the vandalism consisted of bricks thrown through vehicle windshields.

Officers started searching areas where reports were received and noticed a vehicle exiting the Villas at Monte Carlo subdivision about 2 a.m., and stopped the driver.

The vehicle was occupied by four juveniles and several bricks were found inside, the chief said. The juveniles were taken into custody at the scene and may face charges of criminal mischief and vandalism.

Waters reported that officers are still assessing damage from the spree and asked that anyone discovering damage call the police department at 972-736-3901.
