National Night Out encompasses large area
The Collin County Sheriff’s Office coordinates the annual National Night Out for more than 20 neighborhoods in rural Collin County, including several in the Princeton area.
“We encourage neighbors to get out and meet each other by hosting parties and turning on their porch lights to signify they are joining forces to fight crime in their area,” Collin County Crime Prevention Deputy Brent Collins said.
One of the larger block parties was in Lowry Crossing in the Settler’s Creek area off Bridgefarmer Road, which is hosted every year by Debbie and Lenny Lewis, who serve as the Crime Watch captains for their neighborhood.
