Houston-based Avelo Airlines, which plans to begin passenger service at McKinney National Airport later this year, reportedly has abandoned its chartered deportation flights for ICE.

Levy said the low-cost airline was closing its base in Mesa, Arizona, on Jan. 27. The deportation flights, on three 737-800 aircraft, began there in May of 2025.
