Football has become a year-round sport in Texas.
Besides the regular season and playoffs, there are offseason workouts, spring practices and summer work out programs.
One of the latter is 7-on-7 competition, played June 29 to July 1 with a state tournament in College Station at Veterans Park and Athletic Complex.
The summer passing league is played by the ball-handling players: the quarterbacks, wide receivers, running backs, tight ends, linebackers, safeties and cornerbacks.
The following is the breakdown of the rules and regulations for 7-on-7, according to the website texas7on7.com.
