A data center planned just east of Princeton will get 150 gallons of water per minute from a well to be drilled on the property, according to a permit granted by the North Texas Groundwater Conservation District.
The Princeton Water Master Plan Update prepared Kimley-Horn shows that as early as 2025 an 8-inch water main was planned from near downtown to a “Future Data Center Site” indicated northeast of the intersection of County Roads 559 and 561, just above the “T” bridge connecting with U.S. Highway 380 over Lake Lavon.
After the plan was presented during a work session before the Monday, Aug. 24, council meeting, residents posted questions online about the project.
