The Princeton Community Development Corporation (PCDC) has received a preliminary closeout report from a forensic review of expenditures related to the Steven & Judy Deffibaugh Community Center.

Auditor Blake Bogdan with Weaver, a Houston-based accounting and advisory firm, outlined findings from phase one of the investigation at the Wednesday, Feb. 18, meeting of the PCDC and the board voted unanimously on a motion that no further research was needed.

The audit was initiated after Princeton City Council voted March 10, 2025, for auditors to review project expenditures from 2015 to 2022 on the former Methodist church at 416 N. Fourth St.
