Several Easter and spring-themed events are on the calendar across the region in the coming weeks, giving families multiple opportunities to celebrate the season with egg hunts, outdoor activities and community gatherings.

The first event arrives later this month when Keep Greenville Beautiful hosts its Spring Home & Garden Show from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the W. Walworth Harrison Library in Greenville.

The event will feature vendors offering plants, gardening supplies and home-related products, along with food trucks, children’s activities and a popular plant bingo game. Families attending the show can also take part in an Easter egg hunt, making the event both a gardening showcase and a seasonal celebration.

Organizers say the event is designed to highlight home and garden ideas while also providing a fun, outdoor atmosphere for families as spring gets underway.

In Princeton, the Princeton Medical Lodge is hosting a Community Easter Egg Hunt at 3 p.m., Friday, April 3. “Everyone is invited,” organizers said, encouraging everyone to bring baskets. Music, food, drinks will be provided, along with an opportunity to take a photo with the Easter Bunny. The Lodge is located at 1401 W. Princeton Drive. 

The following weekend, the Farmersville Chamber of Commerce will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 4, behind the Onion Shed on Main Street in downtown Farmersville.

The event has become a longtime community favorite and typically draws families from across the area. Children are encouraged to bring baskets as they search for colorful eggs scattered behind the Onion Shed.

The Easter Bunny will also be on site for photos, giving families an opportunity to capture springtime memories.

This year’s hunt will coincide with the Farmersville Market, which will be open at the Onion Shed during the event. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early to browse local vendors or stay afterward to shop and support small businesses while enjoying the festive downtown atmosphere.

Another Easter celebration will also take place April 4 in Wylie. In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center will host its annual Easter Egg Hunt fundraiser at its facility, located at 3430 Skyview Drive.

Gates open at 11 a.m., and the event will include several family-friendly activities throughout the day, including face painting, a bounce house and games.

A sack race is scheduled for noon, followed by an egg toss game at 12:15 p.m. Egg hunts will be divided by age group, with children ages 6 and younger participating at 1 p.m. and ages 7–12 hunting at 2 p.m.

Later in the afternoon, visitors will have a chance to see the rescue center’s big cats receive enrichment treats during a special feeding at 3 p.m.

Food items such as hot dogs, nachos, popcorn and drinks will be available for purchase during the event and admission is set at $17 for adults, $12 for seniors and children ages 4-12, and free for children under 4. All funds raised go to support the cats of In-Sync Exotics.
