A developer that plans to build nearly 900 homes near Lake Lavon would like to also build lakeside recreational amenities including trails, playgrounds, a golf course and a marina on parkland currently managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
Mayor Eugene Escobar Jr. put the proposal on the agenda of the Tuesday, June 23, meeting of the Princeton City Council and introduced a presentation by four members of the Harvest Point development team.
Escobar said he has been discussing the project since December, when he was approached by developer Blake Zaal.
