Princeton FD, Fire Marshal’s, Smokey Bear put on show
Though Princeton students spent last week clowning around with Princeton firefighters, the Collin County Fire Marshal’s office and the Texas A&M Forest Service, they learned that fire and life safety is no laughing matter.
The fire prevention agencies joined forces Oct. 4 through Oct. 10 along with the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) for fire prevention week.
The firefighters took the opportunity to remind kids at Smith, Godwin, Harper and Lacy Elementary schools about the importance of having working smoke alarms in every bedroom, outside each sleeping area, and on every level of the home.
