William “Bill” Woodruff, 54, of Salisbury, passed away Friday, Sept. 12, 2025, at his home.

He was born May 22, 1971, at Beale AFB, California. He was a proud graduate of Princeton High School in Princeton, Texas, class of 1990. A lifelong learner and gifted storyteller, he went on to become both an author and an avid reader, known for his thoughtful perspectives and boundless curiosity. He especially loved immersing himself in the world of fantasy literature, finding joy and inspiration in the genre’s boundless imagination.

He had a deep love for dogs, who were not just pets but beloved companions, and he carried that same warmth and loyalty into his relationships with family and friends. Whether it was offering encouragement, lending a hand, or simply showing up when it mattered most, he was a steadfast source of support to those he loved.

His life reflected a devotion to learning, creativity and connection, values he nurtured throughout his personal and professional journeys.

William was preceded in death by his mother, Janice Woodruff, and his fiancée, Misty Harrington.

Mr. Woodruff is survived by his father, George “Woody” Woodruff; brother, Lee Woodruff; sister-in-law, Kim Woodruff; nephews, Sean Woodruff and Austin Woodruff and wife, Erica Woodruff; aunt, Jeanine Zurcher; and cousins, Kelly Tucker and Miriam “Mickey” Cusack.
