by | Dec 8, 2025 | Obituaries

Kameron Robert Green died unexpectedly on December 3, 2025, in Abilene at the age of 25. He was born November 29, 2000, in LaPorte, the son of Buford and Karen Green.

Kameron graduated from Bland High School, Class of 2020. Following graduation from high school, he went on to take classes in welding and diesel mechanics. He received his Diesel Mechanic Certifications from Texas State Technical College at Sweetwater in August 2023.

Kameron was active in church youth activities and came to know the Lord at a summer church camp. He was later baptized at Faith Baptist Church in Princeton.

Kameron began showing goats in FFA and 4-H beginning in elementary school. He became quite good at selecting and showing goats and won many buckles, ribbons, and banners while in school. He also competed in weightlifting competitions. Kameron took welding classes and made numerous items for various competitions, including goat stands and headache racks.

Kameron assisted with activities for special needs kids and Special Olympics competitions. He also assisted with special livestock shows for special needs children by teaching them how to hold, lead, and show the animals.

Kameron loved to be outdoors and working with animals. The work he did with the animals helped Kameron develop a strong work ethic. Kameron’s constant companion the last several years has been his diabetes service dog, “Buster.”

Kameron is survived by his parents, Buford and Karen Green; his grandmother, Mary Green; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 8, 2025, at First Baptist Church Baird. Burial was in Putnam Cemetery.

Those who wish to remember Kameron in a special way may make gifts in his memory to West Texas Rehabilitation Center and the American Diabetes Association.
