Even though luxury is no longer in the name, Blóm Capital wants the Ironwood at Princeton apartments to be something special.

Blóm had asked the City Council for construction concessions as it worked to complete the 12-building, 306-unit complex formerly known as the Princeton Luxury Apartments.

“I would like to understand — what is luxury about this product?” asked Mayor Eugene Escobar Jr. at the Monday, March 23, council meeting.

Everett Wineman with Front-Line Construction said a variety of features will make the development stand out including “huge” balconies and “one of the biggest apartment pools I’ve ever seen.”

Director of Development Services Shai Roos said Blóm had agreed to the city’s requirements including decorative balcony railings, more landscaping and esthetically pleasing covered parking.
