A runoff will be held Saturday, June 13, for the top two candidates seeking Place 4 on the Princeton City Council. The election was called after council canvassed the 475 votes cast in the May 2 special election.
In a marathon meeting Monday, May 11, councilmembers also amended the city’s zoning ordinance to allow taller buildings along U.S. Highway 380 and discussed a proposal to build a new library sharing space with a youth recreation center.
During a work session before the regular meeting, council discussed upgrading city ordinances regarding sexual offenders. Councilmembers also requested stricter control over electric bicycles and received a report on the Princeton Aquatic and Recreation Center (PARC).
