Early voting in council runoff ends today

by | Jun 9, 2026 | Area News, Latest

Today, Tuesday, June 9, is the last day of early voting in the runoff election for Place 4 on the Princeton City Council.
No one of the four candidates in the May 2 special election received more than 50% of the vote, so a runoff is being held between Jan Goria and Jaisen Rutledge.
With one day left, 274 ballots had been cast through Monday, June 8, said Collin County Elections Administrator Kaleb Breaux.
The total included 34 mail ballots returned and 240 in-person votes — or 1.57% of the 17,506 registered voters in Princeton, Breaux said.
The early voting period ends today at 7 p.m. at the Princeton Municipal Center, 2000 E. Princeton Drive, or Collin County Elections, 2010 Redbud Boulevard, McKinney.
Election Day is Saturday, June 13, with the voting centers open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Princeton Herald will provide unofficial results after the polls close. Results are unofficial until votes are canvassed by the Princeton City Council.
